The service at this bed and breakfast château could not be better! Vincent is an amazing chef and his fresh crêpes, desserts and made to order eggs were among the most delicious we had in France. He and his wife, Corinne were so warm and welcoming to all their guests. We stayed in the Suite Catherine de Sureau which provided far more space than we needed, including a sitting room, sunroom, large bath, and comfortable bed. The secluded château provided the perfect resting place after our time in Paris. It’s location was excellent for touring both the American and British landing sites, as well as several other local attractions. The tapestry of Bayeux is not to be missed, by the way. Dining in Bayeux has limited options, so we recommend you make arrangements in advance with Vincent to enjoy his multi course dinner at least once during your stay.
Our first night in Normandy, we stayed at the beautiful Château de Damigny near Bayeux. Our hosts Vincent & Corrine were so welcoming and it was such a unique experience!
The breakfast and dinner, both extensive and traditional French, were absolutely amazing and made by Vincent! The chateau was a great location to explore Normandy and visit the beaches. If you are staying here, definitely opt in for the on-site dinner.
We loved our stay and would highly recommend considering a chateau over a traditional hotel. Thank you to Vincent and Corrine for your hospitality!
stayed 4 nights at this picturesque chateau, wanted the real French Chateau experience, it was really good the place looks great and gardens are lovely in a quiet road , but not too far from the Normandy sights. Our room was great, big windows tall ceilings, great comfortable bed, our child was on a camp bed though at the end of ours, nice bathroom with shower, no bath , creaky floorboards added to the authenticity. Our host Vincent was welcoming and made fabulous Breakfasts, great selection. Its close to Bayeux, which is fantastic.
My one issue was evening meals you had to drive out nothing was close by. Most places required reservations. We got turned away several nights, French drink drive laws are tight so no drinking we booked a place last couple of nights so that was okay . Value for money yes 4 stars
Stayed here for a few nights with a group of friends. The accommodations are lovely with plenty of grounds to wander around. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The group had dinner here one night. The food was delicious and plentiful - almost too much. I would recommend a stay here to anyone visiting the area.
Quiet, Comfortable and spacious rooms, owner is a chef and breakfast was superb with home made pasties / bread and all kinds of jam. Hot crepes and omelette made with ingredients of your choice. We were spoilt…
My wife and I stayed here in July'19. We took the special package they offer for direct bookings ie. €169 per room for B&B, dinner and a welcoming bottle of cold champagne. What a bargain ! The room was a suite with separate lounge and sun logia, bathroom with spa bath and plenty of space. Our hosts were very accommodating and looked after our every need. Dinner was delicious and plentiful and included all drinks. Breakfast was superb such a selection and much of it home made. Vincent will cook you all the usual breakfasts in addition to the cold buffet. Well placed only a few minutes to the Normandy beaches. We will stay again .
Idylic mansion with big garden. The rooms are big and convenient. Bayeux is near by car. Breakfast is very special. A lot of choices made by host who is in fact a chef. He and his wife serve also dinner which are very complete and tasteful. Overall a great place to come back.
We stayed four nights in June of 2017. We were on a week long motorcycle trip around France. We found this to be a great place to base out of to visit a large verity of sites within easy driving distance. hospitality and food are what you would expect at a five star resort. The grounds are well kept and very quite. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We are currently looking at another trip in other parts of Europe. As we look for B&Bs, we compare them to this one. All of them have fallen short. We are eager to get back.
